Contractor Tools for Your Bottom Line.

Pipeline Contractors

Pipeline contractors have unique needs due to the specialized equipment needed to move and install pipes as well as payroll implications due to the jurisdictional variations where work is performed. ComputerEase construction management software can help make these tasks more manageable.

When entering a new job simply enter the appropriate information for each jurisdiction where work is to be performed. As employees' hours are logged into the payroll center system based on the job, ComputerEase automatically tracks and adjusts taxes based upon that jurisdiction.

Need to pay prevailing wages in a certain jurisdiction? Build this into the job's payroll center in the beginning so when employees' hours are logged the prevailing wage rates will automatically be adjusted to meet this requirement.

Need to find a different vendor or piece of equipment in a new area? Simply check the bid management package for another vendor who bid the job and issue a contract for that portion quickly and easily. Or check your equipment center to see if you have that piece of equipment available.

ComputerEase construction management software helps pipeline contractors meet their accounting and project management needs over multiple jurisdictions.

"Tracking equipment usage to the job"

Tom Moore
President
MIS Construction

One of the uh, areas in construction that we find ComputerEase to be particularly well suited for are, what we refer as, heavy highway contractors, road builders, utility contractors or site work contractors. Uh, their needs are, are a little unique compared to a general building contractor for a couple reasons. Uh, one can, one situation is that they provide not only the labor to do the work but their type of work, because of its nature, requires heavy equipment, like bulldozers, graders, those types of equipment, which are very, very expensive to uh, operate and uh, provide a big part of the construction costs and one of the big variable costs. Uh, where a person might cost you 30 to $50 uh, an hour, a piece of equipment's probably gonna run 90 to $150 an hour. So if you just run over uh, by a small amount, you can end up uh, with a big expense on there. And ComputerEase does a wonderful job of tracking equipment usage against the jobs, allowing you to charge the equipment to the job so that you'll know what the true expense of the job is.
